Superaventuras Marvel #109
"Complexo de Culpa" in Superaventuras Marvel #109 (1991) delivers a gripping, emotionally charged story co-written by John Byrne and Estúdio Art & Comics, with Byrne also handling the interior art. When Madie a Patinha finds herself pregnant with Kenny, the Estigma, and he refuses to acknowledge the child, she turns to friends for help—leading Kenny to a comic convention where the mysterious figure who originally passed on the Estigma reemerges. As tensions escalate and Kenny transforms into a grotesque, unstable form, he seeks aid from Myron, who proposes a desperate solution: channeling his overwhelming energy, echoing a prior event tied to a white phenomenon. The issue’s stark visuals and layered narrative, enhanced by Tom Palmer’s inks, Andy Yanchus’s colors, and Estúdio Art & Comics’ lettering, build toward a moment of intense, unresolved crisis. The cover by Erik Larsen and Scott Williams captures the story’s eerie, high-stakes atmosphere.
