História alternativa à série “A Queda de Murdock” (Born Again). O nosso herói vai ao encontro do Rei após o seu apartamento ter explodido e o mata-o com um tiro. É perseguido pela polícia, e pelo Rosa (Richard Fisk, filho do Rei) e outros gangsters. Em estado mental abalado, ele enfrenta o Justiceiro e o Homem-Aranha, acreditando que ambos são monstros. Murdock, num acto final, sacrifica-se pelo Rosa. Este, por sua vez, assume o manto do Demolidor.
