Meanwhile, at JSA HQ, the Lantern hears a knock, opens the door, and utters, "You!"—only to find the base in ruins when the rest of the team arrives, a muddy footprint marking the destruction. As Johnny tunes in the radio and learns Grundy is on the loose, the Justice Society prepares to track him down, leaving Wonder Woman behind to gather intelligence.

In "The Revenge of Solomon Grundy! Chapter 1," Hawkman arrives in Harford just as the town's newspaper editor, Jo, is locked in a heated argument with his father over the paper’s scandalous direction. Before the fight can escalate, the reanimated Solomon Grundy crashes through the door, searching for G.L. and leaving destruction in his wake. With Hawkman arriving to intervene, Grundy declares his intent to kill the hero, knocks him out, and vanishes—leaving behind a shattered office, a reconciled father and son, and a city on edge.

In "The Revenge of Solomon Grundy! Chapter 2," Jimmy’s game of marbles takes a deadly turn when the reanimated Grundy stumbles into the playground, his clumsy attempt to join in ending in chaos. As the kids flee, the mansion’s hidden thieves move in, only to be interrupted by Mid-Nite, who follows Grundy’s trail to the estate and catches the crooks red-handed. With Grundy now rampaging through the house, Mid-Nite uses a blackout bomb to disorient him, forcing a retreat—just as he leaves Jimmy to call the police, the vigilante sets off again to track the monster through the night.

In "The Revenge of Solomon Grundy! Chapter 3," a trio of thugs in Zenith manipulates the reanimated Solomon Grundy into breaking into a business, while Johnny is subtly guided toward Grundy’s location by girls working with the criminals. Just as Grundy and the thugs exit the building, Johnny arrives in time to be knocked out—only to wake up moments later, led by the girls to a cereal factory where he confronts a fake Grundy and his accomplices. With the phony monster exposed and the thugs defeated, the Thunderbolt appears, ready to assist Johnny in tracking down the real Grundy.

In "The Revenge of Solomon Grundy! Chapter 4," the town of Moosehead faces turmoil as Police Chief McGurk, a 45-year veteran, is set to be replaced by the younger Spenser Blade. When the reanimated Solomon Grundy crashes into town wreaking havoc, both McGurk and Blade try to stop him with a gun—only to fail. As Blade flees in panic, the Flash arrives from Alcona, witnesses the chaos, and takes up the fight, though he’s no match for the relentless monster. After a brutal clash that ends with Flash narrowly clinging to a cliffside branch, he must regroup and press on as Grundy’s rampage continues.

In "The Revenge of Solomon Grundy! Chapter 5," Baldy Balsom rallies his gang in Lambert City, convinced he’s still a force to be reckoned with—until the Marshland Monster, Solomon Grundy, walks in. With Grundy on his side, Baldy sets out to commit three crimes, but the Atom picks up a trail and tracks them to a shoe factory. There, he confronts the gang, defeats them, and briefly subdues Grundy—only for the monster to knock him out and vanish, leaving the Atom to pursue him once more.

In "The Revenge of Solomon Grundy! Chapter 6," Green Lantern is startled by a knock at JSA HQ—only to find Doiby Dickles on the doorstep, breathless with news: Solomon Grundy has broken free and is on the loose. With the window shattered and chaos erupting, the two race to State Park, where a brutal clash unfolds. As Green Lantern is thrown over a waterfall, Grundy looms above, determined to finish what he started.

In "The Revenge of Solomon Grundy! Conclusion," the Justice Society of America arrives just in time to save Green Lantern from the Marshland Monster, overpowering the creature by submerging it in water. As night falls, Johnny questions what "the man in the Moon" might do with Grundy—prompting Green Lantern to encase the villain in a ring-formed bubble and send him to the lunar surface. Now, as the heroes gaze up at the Moon’s glowing surface, they can’t help but wonder if even that distant, silent world can truly contain Solomon Grundy.

When a mysterious comet intersects with Pilot Rogers’ lunar mission, his return to Earth brings an unexpected transformation—under the glow of the moon, he’s consumed by a malevolent alter ego: the MoonMan.
