Super Sons #7

Part two of "Planet of the Capes" arrives in this October 2017 installment, with Jorge Jiménez's cover delivering a striking ensemble moment: Superboy stands front and center with arms raised triumphantly, his red cape billowing dramatically, while Robin flanks him alongside a green-skinned Beast Boy crouching low, Starfire with her flowing pink hair, and a dark-caped Raven rounding out the group amid swirling dust and debris. It's a genuinely compelling image — five young heroes shoulder-to-shoulder against what looks like considerable chaos — and Jiménez's kinetic linework gives the whole scene an electric, forward-charging energy. Peter Tomasi and the creative team are clearly having a great time with this teen-hero team-up, and the cover alone makes a strong case for jumping in.
