With help from Superman and the Newsboy Legion, he investigates Arclight, a super-villain who preys on reporters—only to miss the paper's deadline and watch in frustration as Perry White assigns the story to someone else. When Jimmy demands his work be published and is refused, he storms off, quitting in a moment of defiant frustration.
