This July 1946 Dell anthology packages a wonderful lineup of newspaper-strip favorites under one cover — Dick Tracy, Smitty, Orphan Annie, Tiny Tim, Winnie Winkle, and Harold Teen, each given a cheerful portrait along the right edge. The main cover scene puts Dick Tracy front and center in his signature trench coat and green fedora, surveying an industrial setting with a watchful eye while two smaller figures scramble on the stairs below him. At a dime a copy, it's a compact showcase of mid-1940s all-ages comics entertainment.
