Sun #93 is an anthology comic featuring multiple stories: "Alfred the Great" depicts King Alfred leading his Saxon warriors in a battle against Viking invaders; "Clip McCord, Special Agent" follows the titular agent and his companion Mary as they pursue the villainous Hawk into the mountains, discovering a mysterious radio-controlled mechanical mole and narrowly escaping capture by enemy forces; "The Black Rose" and "The Jester's Revenge" present historical adventure tales; and shorter features include "Charlie Chipmunk—Our Cheery Chum," "Young Joey" (with Uncle Remus and Brer Rabbit), "The Wind in the Willows," and "Jack Beats Reg for the Y.R. Captain's Badge," the latter a sports-themed story about competitive boys.
