"Voyage to Venus" follows Professor Randall and her brother John, along with Joan and Rover, who crash-land on the planet Venus in a weird forest. The group encounters a colony of ape-men who initially capture Joan, but she manages to escape by swinging through the trees; the ape-men offer them fruit and prove friendly. When the professor and John become separated from the group while searching for Joan and Rover, John must climb a tall tree to escape danger, eventually reaching its top just as an explosion occurs below. The issue ends with the group still missing Joan and a promise that readers will learn her fate in the next installment.
