"Sunny in Dollars and Scents" follows a young woman named Jeanette who becomes involved in a dispute over a bottle of perfume with a man named Sam, leading to a confrontation in which Sam accuses her of trying to break a bridge date. The story includes a comedic sequence where two young men seek employment and consider various entertainment options, including working at a soda fountain, playing pinball, or getting into poker, ultimately landing jobs at Mr. Fizzle's soda fountain. A separate text story recounts how a student named Richy Richardson is sent to the principal's office after calling his math teacher Miss Parabola "an old duck," resulting in a lengthy lecture from Principal Bradford about respect for educators, though the principal ultimately allows Richy to leave with his dignity somewhat intact.
