Published by De Harmonie in 2006, Strips in Stereo is a Dutch comics anthology with a wonderfully playful concept — its cover is designed to look exactly like a vintage vinyl record sleeve, complete with a bold red, white, and blue record label at the center bearing the title in a retro hand-lettered style. Gerrit de Jager, who handles every creative role from writing to lettering, brings "Kom van dat dak af" to life within this cleverly packaged format. The whole presentation has a warm, music-lover's charm that makes it as appealing as an object as it surely is as a read.
