☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeStrange Tales #184 brings Dr. Strange face-to-face with Baron Mordo in a cover by penciler Ed Hannigan and inker Dan Adkins that crackles with mystical energy — Mordo looms menacingly as Strange staggers under a devastating magical assault, with the looming presence of Dormammu invoked in the dialogue to raise the supernatural stakes even higher. The swirling cosmic backdrop and flashes of spell-fire give the scene a genuinely otherworldly tension that feels right at home in 1976 Marvel's supernatural corner. Fans of sorcerous showdowns will find this one hard to pass up.

After escaping from Mordo, Strange plummets thru dimension after dimension, finally coming to a stop in a world ruled by Shazana, a female tyrant who once conned a wizard into giving her some of his powers, which she repaid by destroying him. Believing her sister has recruited Strange to overthrow her she battles Strange into submission. Allowing himself to be imprisoned so he can recover from his earlier battle with Mordo, Strange gets the lay of the land, then helps Shazana's sister overcome the evil ruler, destroying the source of her power even as he uses it to begin his journey back home.
