Stormwatch #27

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Stormwatch #27 arrives in March 2014 with a cover by Fabrizio Fiorentino that puts the tension front and center — a masked, blade-wielding figure looms in the foreground while waves of yellow fire engulf multiple combatants behind him, including an armored dark figure and two pink-skinned fighters caught in the chaos. The tagline says it all: "Extremax's Help… Only Leads to Extreme Trouble!" — promising that whatever alliance has been struck in Jim Starlin's story "Negotiating," it's already going sideways in spectacular fashion. With art by Yvel Guichet and inks by LeBeau Underwood bringing Starlin's vision to life inside, this is a solidly entertaining chapter in Stormwatch's New 52 run.
