The second issue of Image Comics' 2022 series delivers another breathtaking cover from Matías Bergara, colored with stunning intensity by Matheus Lopes: a lone small figure sprints across a burning landscape, dwarfed almost beyond comprehension by a massive, spike-covered leviathan looming overhead in the rain. The sheer scale between that solitary child and the dark, towering creature above them captures the series' sense of wonder and vulnerability perfectly. Si Spurrier's wordless collaborative vision continues to feel like nothing else on shelves.
