An additional story features a drifter named Cavanell Hoover who is arrested and sentenced to twenty-five years in federal penitentiary after encountering two men on a freight train; the narrative reveals the circumstances of his crime and arrest through dialogue and flashback sequences.
Stevar Bory, a ruthless gangster, arrives at Castle Duboc in the remote village of Marezy, intent on claiming the legendary treasure locked within its walls—riches that an ancestor of the mysterious Count acquired centuries ago under dark and violent circumstances. When the castle's elderly servant refuses to grant them entry, Bory and his men force their way inside, determined to find the Count and seize his wealth at any cost. What awaits them in the forbidding depths of the castle may prove far more dangerous than any treasure hunt.
Released in 1954, "Two Faces of Crime..." follows Marty Cagle as he walks out of Nebraska State Penitentiary promising reform—only to immediately resume his life of robbery across three states, leaving a trail of victims and escalating violence in his wake. When Cagle's crimes turn deadly and police close in with roadblocks and descriptions, a hunted man must decide how far he's willing to go to stay free.
