Ten years after Bud's release on parole in 1945, the brothers' simmering hatred boils over when Bud reconnects with Rusty, Don's wife, and the two begin plotting together in secret. What unfolds is a grim tale of betrayal and violence rooted in years of resentment and rivalry.
