Startling Comics #48

Lance Lewis, Space Detective, encounters alien spacecraft approaching the Moon and discovers they have established headquarters on the far side. After Lance successfully fires on one attacking craft, a strange glowing mass is launched from the enemy vessel. In a separate story, the Fighting Yank confronts a criminal mob planning to rob Mrs. Ritzjones' guests and steal their jewels; the mob uses a hypnotic device to control the Yank, but he ultimately overcomes the criminals and apprehends them.
