Startling Comics #44 is an anthology featuring multiple stories. The Fighting Yank battles an alien insect creature threatening Earth, piloting one of their spacecraft back to expose the aliens' gas factory and prevent invasion. "Eyes of the Jungle" by Donald Bayne Hobart follows Bobby Thomas and his brother Jim in the African brush, where they encounter a mysterious stranger and witness strange animal behavior that may signal danger from native tribes. "Peggy" features a woman discovering a deadly post-war threat involving Dr. Skallex and explosive dolls hidden underground in the Nazi Doll House, leading her to confront criminals in New York.
