Tony Harris's painted cover for this 1995 DC series is a striking, unsettling composition — a looming figure in a wide-brimmed black hat and blood-red gloves dominates the foreground, while a ghoulish clown face leers from below and a costumed hero in a classic red-and-gold uniform raises his fists triumphantly overhead. Two other golden-age-styled figures flank him in the background, suggesting a gathering of heroes from a different era.
