Rogue Squadron trades the cockpit for the cantina in this 1996 Dark Horse opener to the "Battleground: Tatooine" four-part arc. The cover — penciled and inked by Mark Harrison — sets a wonderfully tense mood: two orange-jumpsuited Rebel pilots sit at a dimly lit table surrounded by an assortment of hulking alien figures, with a pair of wide-eyed Jawas lurking in the foreground shadows. Writers Michael A. Stackpole and Jan Strnad, with art by John Nadeau and inker Jordi Ensign, bring Rogue Squadron to the galaxy's roughest desert world for what promises to be a very different kind of mission.
