The concluding chapter of "Death in the Jungle" arrives with Jan Duursema's striking cover, which shows a battle-worn, shirtless Jedi — his long dark hair wild, his torso bloodied — gripping an ignited green lightsaber amid dense jungle foliage, while a young Wookiee crouches behind him with a look of alarm. The raw, survival-against-the-odds energy of the image makes this Part 3 of 3 feel genuinely earned, and Ostrander and Duursema's long-running creative partnership on Republic is very much in fine form here.
