Star Wars: Invasion #2
The tagline says it all — a young man with goggles pushes up against a canyon wall as an enormous, looming Sith Hound towers over him, all sinew and tentacle-like appendages, while a small hovering droid floats nearby with glowing red eyes. Jo Chen's painted cover for this second chapter of "Refugees" captures a wonderfully tense standoff between the vulnerable and the monstrous. With Tom Taylor scripting and Colin Wilson on interior art, this 2009 Dark Horse series digs into the Yuuzhan Vong war's impact on ordinary people — and ordinary people can apparently end up in very extraordinary danger.
