Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #8

Doctor Aphra and a companion sprint away from a blazing explosion on the cover of this 2021 Marvel series entry, debris scattering around them as a fiery orange shockwave fills the background — cover art by Joshua "Sway" Swaby that captures the breathless momentum of "The Engine Job: Old Wounds." Aphra clutches what appears to be a retrieved artifact even mid-flight, which feels very on-brand for the galaxy's most reckless rogue archaeologist. With writer Alyssa Wong, artist Minkyu Jung, and colorist Rachelle Rosenberg continuing their run, this is a creative team clearly having a great time putting Aphra through the fire — literally.
