Star Wars #8
Luke Skywalker finds himself in a very tight spot on this cover, blaster drawn and surrounded on all sides by a ring of weapons closing in, with faithful R2-D2 at his side in what looks like a crowded, dimly lit cantina or arena setting. The tension Immonen and von Grawbadger capture here is palpable — outnumbered, outgunned, and clearly not about to back down. Jason Aaron's run continues to put these beloved characters through the wringer, and issue #8 promises more of the galaxy-spanning trouble the series does so well.
