Star Trek: Picard: Countdown #[nn]

In 2385, Admiral Jean-Luc Picard leads the USS Verity on a high-stakes mission to evacuate the Romulan people from their dying star system, just before a supernova wipes it out. In "Countdown [Part 2]," Picard stands firm against evacuation orders on Yuyat Beta, refusing to abandon the colony’s native inhabitants—until he’s imprisoned by Governor Shiana. With the help of a daring native rebellion and two Romulans who defy their own orders, he escapes, but in his absence, Shiana seizes control of the USS Verity through deception.

In "Countdown [Part 3]," Jean-Luc Picard, having escaped Romulan captivity with the aid of Zhaban and Laris, regains command of the Verity—only to face a new threat from a Tal Shiar vessel. As the truth unfolds, Zhaban and Laris reveal their true allegiance, choosing to stand with Picard against their own faction. With their pasts sealed and no return home, Picard offers them a new path: a life working the vineyards at his estate in France.
