Star Trek / Green Lantern #1
Two beloved sci-fi universes collide in this 2015 IDW/DC co-publication, as Hal Jordan's Green Lantern soars above the bridge crew of the Enterprise — Captain Kirk seated at the helm, flanked by Spock, Uhura, and Chekov — while a menacing orange-ringed fist looms overhead and a monstrous red-eyed creature lurks in the shadows behind them. Gabriel Rodriguez's cover composition does a fine job of conveying the scale of the threat, with a ghostly Green Lantern construct face hovering between the two franchises like a bridge between worlds. Mike Johnson, Angel Hernández, and Alejandro Sánchez bring "The Spectrum War" to life starting right here in issue one of six.

With the Green Lanterns and the remaining Guardians gone, Ganthet takes 6 different spectrum rings and flees the universe. Years later, in another universe, The Enterprise investigates a deserted planet where they find the body of Ganthet and the six rings. When examining the rings, Scotty inadvertently activates them, and the rings choose new hosts from among the Enterprise crew and the Klingons. At that moment, Hal Jordan suddenly appears.
