Planet Fayo looks like a wild place to be stranded, and this 1977 Gold Key issue drops Captain Kirk right into the thick of it — the cover tagline promises he's become "the pawn in a palace revolt!" George Wilson's painted cover sets the scene vividly: Kirk rides an ostrich-like alien creature while a massive, hippo-headed beast looms behind him, its rider in pursuit, and a carriage-like vehicle adds to the chaotic alien chase.
