Star Trek #43
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeGeorge Wilson's cover pulls you straight underwater, where a helmeted mutant warrior astride a massive pink sea creature levels a spear-gun at a group of struggling divers — with photo portraits of Spock and Kirk watching from the top corner. The cover tag says it all: "Kirk plunges into a watery world of hostile mutants," teasing writer Arnold Drake and artist Al McWilliams's story "The World beneath the Waves." Gold Key's Star Trek always had a flair for vivid alien environments, and this 1977 entry looks like one of the more imaginatively aquatic adventures in the run.
