Spock takes center stage on Joe Corroney's striking cover for this 2014 IDW series entry — phaser raised, expression sharp and intent, while five mysterious bound or shrouded figures stand silhouetted against an alien red-rock landscape below him. The swirling cosmic backdrop and glowing holographic rings add a sense of galactic intrigue that suits the "Lost Apollo" arc perfectly. With Mike Johnson and Roberto Orci steering the story into its first of two parts, this is a promising setup for a tale that clearly puts the Enterprise's science officer in a demanding situation.
