Star Trek #25

The tagline says it all — "Old Friends, New Friends, New Adventures, New Dangers!" — and Jerome K. Moore's cover delivers on every count, depicting Kirk, Spock, and several Starfleet officers gathered against a San Francisco backdrop with the Golden Gate Bridge visible behind them, while a young woman in civilian clothes and another figure in a blue uniform round out this notably crowded, warm ensemble scene. There's a genuine sense of reunion energy here, with smiles and easy camaraderie among familiar faces alongside a few newer ones. Howard Weinstein's "Class Reunion" story, brought to life by artist Gordon Purcell and inker Arne Starr, promises exactly the kind of character-driven adventure that made DC's Star Trek run a treat for fans in 1991.
