A Starfleet officer in a red uniform stands his ground, phaser in hand, delivering a wry quip while a determined woman armed beside him faces down two towering alien threats — a green, tentacled creature on the left and a snarling orange beast on the right — as the cover boldly declares "Ajir vs. Grond to the Death." DC's 1986 Star Trek run was firing on all cylinders, and this issue of "Double Blind, Part II," with a cover rendered by Jim Starlin, captures that tense, outnumbered standoff with real energy. Written by Diane Duane with art by Tom Sutton and Ricardo Villagrán, this is a compelling chapter in one of comics' most underrated licensed series.
