This January 1945 DC issue stars the Newsboy Legion alongside The Guardian in what promises to be a thrilling urban adventure. Jack Kirby's cover captures a breathless street-level scene: The Guardian, in his distinctive blue-and-gold costume, struggles with a cloaked villain atop a bright red aircraft or vehicle, while members of the Newsboy Legion scatter and react across the sidewalk below, with bystanders fleeing in the background. Interior art comes from Arturo Cazeneuve with inks by Steve Brodie, making this a fine example of wartime DC storytelling at its most energetic.
