Beth arrives in Hollywood from England to take a job as a maid for a top dress designer. When one of his models twists her ankle before a big show, the designer gets Beth to temporarily fill in as a model for that show. After the show, Beth learns that a talent scout in the audience has arranged to get a film test for her.
