Julie takes an immediate interest in Alec and eventually, he admits he loves her, but was reluctant to admit it because of a bitter past marriage. A car accident leaves Julie blind, but Alec and Julie get married anyway and Alec starts working for Julie's father. Things go well until Rose arrives and tells Alec that his previous wife is still alive. But Rose knows Alec's first marriage wasn't legal and her real motive is to get Alec for herself. She uses her ability to do impersonations to plant ideas in Julie's mind. Eventually, she even resorts to using her ability to endanger Julie.
