Standstill #5

Issue five of Image's Standstill finds our smirking protagonist sprawled in a sun-baked desert, a baseball bat planted in the dirt behind him, casually quipping "Sorry… not sorry for my slow dance with the dragon." It's a wonderfully confident image — beaten but unbothered, dust and rocky badlands stretching out to the horizon. Lee Loughridge and Andrew Robinson bring a sun-drenched, lived-in energy to this penultimate chapter of the eight-issue series that's hard to resist.
