Pepito on his burro by the main highway from the U.S. sees a box fall from a truck. A voice comes out, speaking sailor's talk, and two animal feet push through the bottom. He brings it to town, where they all call it "the theeng". It runs off whenever they try to open it. Eventually the men from the truck come back to fetch it, and give Pepito $10 US. They never found out what it was, but it is revealed to the readers that it was a parrot.
