Spooky Spooktown #33

Harvey's "Giant Size" Spooky Spooktown is always a treat, and issue #33 delivers a perfectly charming Halloween scene right on its cover: a little ghost in a bowler hat and red coat clutches a "Trick or Treat" bag while glaring with surprising menace at another startled ghost who's just swung open a creaky door — with pumpkins dotting the moonlit yard behind them. The left side of the cover cheerfully previews the roster of Harvey favorites you'll find inside, including Spooky, Poil, Casper, the Ghostly Trio, and Wendy. At 25 cents for a giant-sized 1970 package, this is Harvey Comics at its most warmly spooky.
