Harvey Comics' "the tuff little ghost" is in rare form on this December 1965 cover — Spooky scowls with characteristic grumpiness, his tiny bowler hat perched atop his head, as he holds out a bitten red apple absolutely crawling with worms. The little critters are wriggling across his ghostly body too, which explains that wonderfully indignant expression perfectly. A charming, lighthearted snapshot of Spooky at his most put-upon, tying neatly into the issue's story, "The Ghostly Seeds.
