Spooky #7

Harvey's "tuff little ghost" is having an absolute blast on this November 1956 cover, swooping through a watery scene with a butterfly net in hot pursuit of a bright yellow fish — his signature black bowler hat still perched jauntily on his head even as he plunges beneath the surface. Several more cheerful yellow fish and a green starfish scatter around him, giving the whole image a lively, playful energy that perfectly captures Spooky's mischievous personality. At just ten cents, issue #7 is a charming slice of mid-50s Harvey Comics fun.
