Spindelmannen #8/1984
In "Apornas natt!", Peter Parker returns to his aunt May’s home, only to recognize the mysterious figure lurking in the shadows—Adrian Toomes, aka the Vulture, recovering from injuries but already plotting his return. With the help of May’s invalid boyfriend Nathan Lubensky, Toomes regains strength and hides in plain sight, setting the stage for a tense confrontation when Spider-Man arrives. Written by Roger Stern and illustrated by John Romita Jr. with inks by Pablo Marcos, this 1984 issue features a cover by Bob Layton.
In "Apornas natt!" from Spindelmannen #8/1984, the Russian supervillain Röda Spöket and his Superapor squad launch a daring heist to steal a crucial mathematical thesis from a university, only to be thwarted by the ever-watchful Spindelmannen. When Röda Spöket turns his attention to silencing witnesses—including the bullied nerd Roger Hochberg—Spindelmannen must protect him while navigating a web of threats that blur the line between academic secrecy and criminal ambition.
In "Gam-la vingar flyger...", Adrian Toomes—now known as Gamen—lies recovering in a hospital, his body battered but his mind sharp. Inspired by Nathan Lubensky, the invalid boyfriend of May Parker, he begins to rebuild, slipping back into his criminal past while hiding in the very home where Nathan and May live. When Peter Parker visits his aunt, he recognizes the man beneath the mask and steps in as Spindelmannen.
