Spidey #1
Marvel's Spidey swings into its inaugural issue with a cover by Nick Bradshaw that perfectly captures the lighter, scrappier side of Peter Parker's early career — a red-and-blue-suited Spider-Man swoops down a city alleyway, web-lines trailing behind him, while two web-tangled crooks below clutch money bags and wear very unhappy expressions. A cheerful note addressed to the police is pinned right to the bundled-up thieves, suggesting our hero has a sense of humor to match his spider-sense. With writer Robbie Thompson and colorist Jim Campbell rounding out the creative team, this 2016 series looks to be a fun, energetic take on the wall-crawler at his most resourceful and wisecracking best.
