Spider-Woman #13

Against a glowing full moon, Spider-Woman faces off with a massive, terrifying werewolf-like creature — all rippling muscle and razor claws — in what looks like a genuinely tense supernatural showdown. "Sinner's Moon" sets an atmospheric, horror-tinged tone that suits the eerie purple-and-gold twilight sky rendered on Bart Sears's cover beautifully. This 2000 Marvel series was clearly willing to pit its hero against some formidable monsters, and issue #13 looks like a satisfying chapter in that run.
