“Destiny's Web”

"Destiny's Web" marks the final chapter of Peter Parker’s superhero journey in this poignant 1995 Marvel classic, written by Fabian Nicieza and illustrated by Darick Robertson, with inks by Jeff Albrecht and colors by Gregory Wright. After leaving New York behind and starting a quiet life in Portland, Oregon, Peter Parker—now a research scientist—finds himself drawn back into danger when a secret experiment at his lab goes catastrophically wrong. Torn between his promise to Mary Jane and his enduring sense of duty, he must decide whether to don the Spider-Man suit one final time. The cover, by Darick Robertson and Jeff Albrecht, captures the weight of that choice.
