Spider-Man's Tangled Web #13
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeWhat a wonderfully offbeat setup — Spider-Man crashes what appears to be a villains-only dive bar, leaping acrobatically over a pool table while a crowded gallery of costumed rogues looks on with varying degrees of alarm and menace. The cover by Sean Phillips packs in an impressive ensemble: a matador-masked figure, a chrome-armed bruiser, a snarling bald villain lunging forward, and several other shady characters nursing drinks or gripping pool cues, all framed against Spider-Man's enormous close-up face looming in the background. Writer Ron Zimmerman's "Double Shots" promises the kind of street-level, villain's-eye-view storytelling that makes this series such a smart companion to the main Spidey titles.
