Spider-Man: Reign 2 #5

The penultimate image of Spider-Man: Reign 2 #5 is a gut-punch: an enormous, grotesque rock-like behemoth looms over multiple battered Spider-Man figures sprawled across the ground, their red-and-blue suits torn and broken, as silhouetted human forms hang suspended in a web-like purple energy field behind the creature. Kaare Andrews renders the sheer scale of the threat with visceral, almost overwhelming detail — every crack and drip of the monster's massive form pressed against the defeated heroes below. Brian Reber's eerie purple palette ties the whole haunting scene together, making this fifth issue feel like a storm that has fully arrived.
