Spider-Man Noir: Eyes Without a Face #4
The concluding chapter of "Eyes Without a Face" arrives in suitably grim fashion, with Patrick Zircher's cover depicting two figures locked in a tense confrontation — one looming above with wild hair, goggled eyes, and an array of menacing mechanical surgical instruments, the other restrained below with glowing green lenses and chains, surrounded by the cold steel of what looks like a sinister operating apparatus. It's a beautifully unsettling image that captures the dark, Depression-era pulp atmosphere that makes the Spider-Man Noir universe so compelling. With David Hine, Fabrice Sapolsky, and Carmine Di Giandomenico bringing "Endless Night" home as the series finale, this 2010 issue is a satisfying capstone to one of Marvel's moodier noir adventures.
