Peter hat die 24-Stunden-Grippe, als Doc Ock Betty Brant gefangen nimmt, in der Hoffnung, Spider-Man in den Kampf zu locken. Ock besiegt den angeschlagenen Spider-Man und entlarvt ihn, aber alle denken, dass Peter nur mutig sein will und sich als Spidey ausgibt. Sobald er sich erholt hat, kämpft sich Spider-Man durch die wilden Tiere, die Ock aus dem Zoo freigelassen hat, um es selbst mit dem alten Sechsarmigen aufzunehmen.
