“Looter's Quest”

In "Looter's Quest," Spider-Man grapples with a crushing weight of guilt after Captain Stacy's death, now branded a public enemy despite his relentless hunt for the real culprit—Doc Ock. As Peter struggles to comfort Gwendy at her father’s funeral, a painful revelation from his battle photos forces him to confront his own role in the tragedy. Written and illustrated by Lee Weeks, with inks by Robert Campanella and Richard Case, and colors by Steve Buccellato, this emotionally charged issue sees Spidey diving into the criminal underworld, chasing shadows with a heart full of doubt. The cover by Karl Kesel captures the tension of a hero at his breaking point.

Following the death of Captain Stacy, Spidey finds himself as public enemy number one as everyone believes him to be responsible. This doesn't stop the web slinger from cutting through the criminal underworld trying desperately to find Doc Ock. Peter attends the funeral of Gwendy's dad but can't find the words he needs to comfort her. Things get worse when he develops the pictures of his battle with Doc Ock and finds that he is partially to blame for Captain Stacy's death.
