The "Fabulous Final Issue!" of Spider-Man: Chapter One goes out with a threat made of sand and menace — the cover by John Byrne puts Sandman front and center, his massive sand-sculpted form looming enormous as a barely-visible Spider-Man is swallowed up within his grainy grip. With a story titled "The End of Spider-Man!", this twelfth issue promises the kind of high-stakes showdown that makes a closing chapter feel genuinely earned. Byrne, who wrote, drew, and lettered the series, brings his full range to this sendoff, inked here by Al Milgrom with colors by Joe Rosas.
