About this Collection

This 1984 annual from Marvel UK collects a selection of Spider-Man stories originally published in the British weekly comic, featuring the wall-crawler facing off against classic foes like Kraven the Hunter. The volume also includes additional features and reprints typical of the UK annual format of the era.

Spider-Man Annual #1 (1983) delivers one of the most pivotal moments in Marvel history, with Gerry Conway’s gripping story and Gil Kane’s powerful interior art capturing the emotional weight of a turning point in Peter Parker’s life. When Norman Osborn, fractured by grief and guilt, reclaims his identity as the Green Goblin, his rage targets Gwen Stacy in a harrowing escalation on the Brooklyn Bridge. The cover by Paul Neary perfectly encapsulates the tragedy’s looming dread, making this a must-read for any fan of classic Spider-Man storytelling.

Harry is raving and bedridden after once again taking LSD and when his father finds his son's friends gathering around in support, he throws them out. Cracking under the pressure of his damaged son and failing business, Norman regains his memory of being the Green Goblin and the secret identity of his deadliest foe. Trying to get to Spider-Man where it hurts, the Goblin captures Gwen and brings her to the top of the Brooklyn Bridge. During the fight, Gwen falls from the bridge and when Spider-Man tries to catch her with a web line, her neck snaps.
