Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse #1
Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse #1 kicks off a bold new chapter in the Spider-Verse, spotlighting Earth-65’s Gwen Stacy as she grapples with her dual identity while her father directly questions her secret life as Ghost-Spider. When the villain Finale the Ultimate Artist unleashes a multiversal experiment gone awry, her attempt to rewrite history fractures the timeline and spawns a wave of new Gwen-inspired heroes—each with their own unique powers and origins. Written by Tim Seeley and brought to life by Jodi Nishijima’s dynamic art and Federico Blee’s vivid colors, this issue sets a high-stakes, emotionally grounded tone, with David Nakayama’s striking cover capturing the chaos of a fractured multiverse.

On Earth-65 Gwen Stacy speculates on the low level villains of her universe, leading to her father asking directly if she has also been acting as Ghost-Spider on Earth-616. Meanwhile, Finale the Ultimate Artist murders her entire fanbase to power a multiversal device aimed to project herself into the past as multiple new superheroes. The interaction goes wrong and collides with Ghost Spider as she tries to travel to Earth-616, leading instead to the creation of multiple new 'Gwen' related superheroes. Ghost-Spider must get to them before they permanently break the timeline and multiverse.
